AirVpn is as the website looks like, Chaos

AirVpn is as the website looks like. Old-fashioned, chaotic and partially working. I used it many years ago when VPNs were not really fashionable. I got an offer to resubscribe and I took it. Eddie, their client on the Mac, is a pain in the neck. If your internet connection falls away, it will try to reconnect, bringing itself to a loop which only can be stopped by forcing the app to quit and restarting it. If you want to search with Google the chances are very high that google simply locks up. So you have to log out and get to Google without the VPN. Visiting Gmail is not a problem, however. There is no iOs client and their workaround is to use Open VPN, only their instructions do not match the current version, and you seldom get it to work. AirVpn might work better on other platforms but it is a pain in the neck on the mac and iPhone. They surely attempt to help you, although the service department might be in need of a few light-hearted people. For myself, I will let the money go and subscribe to a modern VPN with a good cross platform app. View More

Been using AIRVpn for 5 years or more, it is the best VPN.

Been using AIRVpn for 5 years or more now. I don't find any issues at all, speeds are excellent, there is no lag, they respect your privacy, they answer queries within the day. They allow port forwarding, TOR over VPN and everything else you could want. What more do you need? You could go with a flashy VPN that spends most of your subscription on marketing rather than security or privacy, but that is your choice. Edit: There are a lot of negative reviews for issues that are fixable or has been fixed. Most don't seem to really understand how a VPN works, or even their computer it seems - if you need someone to hold your hand with a VPN, this may not be the service for you. If you can't google a solution or reach out for help with a support ticket, then I think those kinds of users need to go with the type of VPN that is advertised on podcasts regularly. They spend money on flashy interfaces and advertising, not security or true privacy. View More

Banning a critical long time user is…

Banning a critical long time Linux user is never a good idea. Especially if your company is not a top 10 player. AirVPN tries to be the best but seems to get lost in a gazillion possibilities and settings in their apps. It is not 100% stable on Linux and a very inconsistent performer with often very low speeds on my gigabit fiber connection. It also hangs after waking up from sleep or hibernation which is problematic. Google (and many web sites} give very frequent warnings and forces captchas upon you when you connect to their Dutch servers. AirVPN's advice is "don't use Google". Well... The good news is that I can now use Nordvpn which runs 10 times faster with a solid 1000Mbps performance and runs on Linux without a problem. Awarding AirVPN with 3/5* for their product and 1/5* for they customer service. View More

Best VPN which I have tried so far

I have been using it for 10 years and no problem till date. Inexperienced people may find AirVPN difficult because their software is not that fancy. As for speed I get 250 megabytes with wireguard۔

Works perfect & NAT forwarding, but UI is... "technical"

Works pretty well and have NAT port forwarding. The speeds are maybe not the best, but I got easily 200mbps on multiple servers, both download and upload. Sometimes even 600mbps. The UI is bad, but for technical people it doesn't matter. And VPN should be used ONLY BY TECHNICAL PEOPLE, because it's not a privacy tool. Never been. For privacy is TOR etc. But it have really lot configuration options and a lot of apps - you can install it on router with different protocols, various OS, mobile and desktop. And the prices are really low - 80 euro for 3 years? Sounds really reasonable for me. View More

Feature-complete anonymous VPN for powerusers

If you actually require a VPN then this one is the best or second-best one around. I've experienced no issues during my time using it. Skip if you require a 1-click connection.

Unreliable, constantly breaking. Blocked from website when trying to find solutions

Great product for those who love troubleshooting and working out why their VPN stopped working. If you love spending time reading logs and on forums trying to fix flakey software then this is for you! Then to cap it all off, when you try to find the answers on their pages they block your IP! Don't load too many forum pages, they're counting... View More

4 stars because there is almost no…

4 stars because there is almost no effort on innovation further than a mere IP protection, no browsing containers or solution that counteract fingerprinting great service especially for OpenVPN tho, you can go if you look for a decent-speed VPN View More

Absolute joke software

Absolute joke software. Currently dealing with it spamming large popups "70% off sale!" every time my system boots, offering money off the software I already subscribed to. These popups cannot even be ignored, you have to click on them to get rid of them, and there's no way to disable them in future. Posted about this on the support forum and it got deleted. Other support issues remain unaddressed after several weeks. This is simply not serious software. Despite having several months left of a subscription, I have uninstalled and gone back to my previous provider. I can only recommend that you avoid this comedy nonsense View More

Awful experience, do not recommend AirVPN

Awful experience with their VPN. Started having horrible speeds after a month of use, contacted their support to help me out, which they ended up saying that it was my fault. I told them my speeds are fine without VPN and that if they didn't help me fix my issue, I'd have to ask for a refund. Without a word from them, the very next day I received a refund and cannot access to their website anymore since they banned me. Very immature behaviour. View More

Good but lack of consistency

For torrenting / P2P use. The port forwarding is pretty good and there's perfect integration into Gluetun environment with good download speed. Billing is decent, can choose 3 months subscription at decent price. But their servers are saturated and can't rely on consistent upload speed. It's overall pretty slow. View More
