absolutely no assistance!

I purchased through Geekbuying, I contacted Anbernic for help on how to download emulators for this device, in response they told me that since I didn't buy it directly from them I will not receive any assistance. a really ugly and meaningless policy. What kind of publicity do they think I'll give them? View More

I ordered a Anbernic RG35XX a month ago, the payment process was easy, I'm very satisfied with the product itself so far, it's of good production quality and the software and the games are running smoothly and without any problems. Shipment time took as long as they said on their part(DHL had on the other hand some nice ideas for a game of hide and seek across German packing stations). View More

Avoid buying directly

Avoid buying directly. Excessive shipping & taxes and terrible customer service. Purchase from Amazon or AliExpress instead.

Please understand...

Anbernic manufacture quality handheld gaming devices at a great price. There are a couple of things to be aware of before purchasing: The microSD cards that ship with some of their devices are low quality, and need to be replaced. The process is straightforward and Anbernic provide video tutorials to assist. Anbernic do not accept returns outside of Japan and the USA. In my experience from purchasing multiple devices, they are happy to provide replacement parts if required, and video tutorials to assist with installation. If a device is purchased from a reseller, they are under no obligation to cover warranty repairs - you need to contact the reseller. This is fairly standard practice, so I don't understand why people complain about it. They will sell spare parts if required, simply email them with a clear and concise request for the parts required. View More

False advertising, slow shipping, and no support

Purchased item with "7 day delivery" and "on-time guarantee". It took 59 days. They refused to compensate despite tracking supporting my late delivery claim.

Their console seems nice at first look but the software is broken, most games don't run or work badly... About the hardware it's so fragile, make it fall once and it's dead... Got 5 consoles from them, all broken... Not worth buying. View More

Complete crap

Delivery got lost but this "company"cant initiate a investigation, the SELLER has to do that not the Buyer. Its the LAW ! They got an email from me that they have to request an investigation at my service provider who lost it and requested that for a refund to be made. The sellers delivery company must do that due to data protection issues but the waited 2 weeks and did NOTHING. These are CRIMINALS. NEVER order from them kust use aliexpress. 230 Euros STOLEN and ignored from these chinese P R I C K S. Completely dumb and disastrous. View More

My experience with anbernic has…

My experience with anbernic has honestly been great! I see a lot of people complaining here about not receiving their orders which if that's true than that's obviously bad, but I ordered from anbernic.com and my packgae got here fine. I also wrote them an Email about a small tracking issue with the order and they responded within HOURS which in my experience no company responds that fast, and they were nothing but helpful and friendly to me. If you're gonna order from them then don't buy from shady third party dropshippers from Aliexpress, instead order it either straight of their website, or a trusted 3rd party reseller like litnxt to be sure that you're gonna get that customer support in case you need it. Edit: I want to add my warranty experience to this review, the first device that arrived didn't fully function and I sent out a warranty claim to Anbernic, I sent out the console and recieved one within around 2 weeks from sending out mine and the second console works perfectly fine. Defective Product and Disgraceful Customer Service A Total Scam

I ordered a product that was defective from the start—the battery drained even when the device was turned off. At first, I thought it wasn’t a big deal. However, the issue worsened, and now the device won’t turn on at all. When I contacted customer service, they sent me a guide to reset the SD card, reinstall the system, and upload a video of the issue to YouTube. After doing all that, the problem persisted. They then asked for another video, this time requiring me to open the device myself, inspect it, and film the reaction when plugged in. Once I complied, they informed me that I needed to order a new motherboard and replace it myself—at my own expense. This company, Anbernic, is a complete scam. The product had less than 20 hours of use, and their response to a clear manufacturing defect is to push the burden onto the customer. If you have an issue with their product and, unfortunately, take too long to report it (even if the defect existed from the start), you’re completely on your own. Do not waste your time or money on this company. View More

Never got my product for…

I've been waiting for a product for around 3 months now. They still stay they deliver the console but they are not responding to my emails and they are not willing to address this concern. This console was a gift for my couple, but they are not responding, even after I provided proof that the mail company didn't receive the package. I need the corresponding compensation, new placement or whatever it takes to have my console back. Very disappointing, it was a Christmas gift. If Anbernic wants to correct this, please, read the emails I sent you and you are not answering. please review my emails to you, my name is Colvin Vargas View More

Not much use out of my RG35XX

Not much use out of my RG35XX, the screen doesn’t work. I can’t get beyond the logo screen. Worst purchase of the year.

Returns process is very dodgy

Returns process is very dodgy I bought an RG28xx directly from Anbernic.com, it arrived and worked for 1 week after which it ceased booting. Their customer service asked me to re-flash the 64GiB SD card which I did. This took 2 hours and made no difference. The customer service asked me to open the machine and disconnect and then reconnect the battery. In my opinion it's highly unusual to be asked to take apart and repair an electronic device, but I complied, this did nothing. I asked for a refund and got no response. I raised a dispute via PayPal and then got a response. The dispute has now been ongoing for a week and a half and the latest update is that they said they'd provide a tracked return label via the paypal dispute. They then sent a separate e-mail saying a courier would pick it up which seems highly sketchy. For a £40 console the amount of hassle this has caused is ridiculous, it goes without saying I'd NEVER EVER buy an Anbernic product again. I've since noticed that the packaging is designed such that you have no way of knowing if you're the first person to receive the product and you're required to return all of the packaging (minus the bag) in new condition. It seems to me very likely that they're refurbishing faulty products and sending them back out again such that hardware failure is very likely. To update, Anbernic eventually sent a tracking label after saying it wasn't possible, though this label was very dodgy and would only be accepted at the sorting office. Anbernic promised to provide a 20% refund once the item was shipped, but this turned out to be a lie. Anbernic promised to provide the full refund once the item was received, but they did not do this either. Paypal initially closed the dispute in the sellers favor meaning that Anbernic would have had both their dodgy product and my money. PayPal has removed the ability to appeal a case, so I had to phone them and ask to close my account because otherwise I couldn't speak to anybody. Once I provided them with the tracking information they confirmed that the item had been delivered to Anbernic and they would provide a full refund. There was not the tiniest bit of goodwill from Anbernic in this, at every point in the process they did everything they could to avoid providing a refund. These people are knowingly stealing from people and wasting their time. View More

Do Not Trust Anbernic – False EU Warehouse, Refusal to Refund Full Amount

Ordered a handheld from their supposed EU warehouse. After payment, they claimed the EU warehouse can’t deliver to Finland and offered shipment from China instead. Declined and asked for a refund. They refunded less than I paid, making bogus excuses about exchange rates and USD pricing. Once I pointed out that their excuses violate consumer protection law, they suddenly stopped replying to emails entirely — and of course, the missing ~5€ was never returned. It’s fair to assume there is no EU warehouse, this is just a bait-and-switch scam to funnel European customers onto slower, riskier China shipments and cheat them out of their money. Failed legal obligations, ignored consumer rights, and dishonest excuses. Avoid like a plaque. View More

Anbernic support team refuses to help…

Anbernic support team refuses to help me with a device that failed right out ot the box. I did everything they suggested, including going beyond and troubleshooting. They refuse to send me a new unit or parts for repairs. They keep dodging me. Do yourself a favor, if you want retro games just buy them for real or use a computer. These cheap, Chinese handheld devices dont last more than a few days to a few months. View More

Faulty RG353V, Customer service abysmal

Bought an Anbernic RG353V, turned out to be faulty. Customer service is terrible! They wouldn't send me a replacement or proper refund. They offered £25! or a component to fix it myself (which I don't have the expertise anyway). That's £99 down the drain. Avoid at all costs View More
