The FITCAMX dashcam has no built-in GPS…
The FITCAMX dashcam has no built-in GPS or mapping function. This means that in the event of a traffic incident, the video produced will not contain details of direction of travel, road names, speed of the vehicle, or even the location of the event. This makes the device useless for supporting insurance claims or for providing the police with reliable information on traffic incidents or other road events. The lack of GPS and mapping in this dashcam was a big surprise to me as these features are mostly standard on other dashcams. When I complained about this, I received the reply that the website does not say the device has GPS, but that GPS can be added if you request an upgrade at order time. Unfortunately, I could not find any mention of an upgrade option on the company’s website or on any other website that I could find on which they sell their product. The device is easy to fit and the video quality is usable, but that does not justify the price or make it useful. I could not recommend this dashcam for anything other than just producing a moving picture of your journey. This was a bad purchase for me and as it came from China, returning it is not a viable option. View More
I bought one front and rear "dashcam"
I bought one front and rear "dashcam". When installed this on my 2016 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 with less than 40,000 on it the dash cam caused all kinds of problems in my vehicle. It caused problems with my windshield wipers and the auto rain sensor. It disrupted my Bluetooth, I no longer was able to stream music from my phone to name just a few. Do not waste you money on this poorly designed junk. I removed mine and will never reinstall it again. I will seek a refund or it goes in the trash. Honest review from my personal experience. Not good enough
Sorry, I cannot recommend this company. Bought Dash cam from them off Amazon. Sent pictures of the exact car and mirror location. Took over 3 weeks to get here and received with no proper packaging and wrong item. How hard is it to get this stuff right guys? View More
ATTENTION Check your records regularly.
Good point: - video quality - discreet appearance Bad point: - No GPS Connection between camera and phone is horrible ( disconnects frequently) - slow downloads - software problem (most annoying) Unfortunately on my dash camera unacceptable problem is when the memory card is full the camera does not overwrite subsequent videos. I reported that and they send me another dash cam. The second one has exactly the same problem. It doesn't matter whether I use the original card from the manufacturer or othe top brand memory cards. The only solution is to delete previously saved recordings. This should never happen on a dash cam - Another bad point. Unfortunately, the camera froze completely three times and the only option was to remove the plastic cover and disconnect it from the power supply. So I give it two stars and I think it's more than enough for the video quality and discreet housing. View More
Decent price for an integrated/descrete camera
I purchased a camera from Fitcamx directly on their website. The same camera on their amazon shop was £180, directly on the website it was £135 and I found a 10% discount code. I found the price pretty good considering how much a factory fitted camera option is. The company itself were great, sent me an email after order asking for pictures of the console and make/model of the car to ensure I had ordered the correct item, chased me a day later when i'd not replied to the 4am email. I received the camera less than a week later, which I felt was good considering it came from China. Fitting instructions where decent, with a youtube video that was relevant -it actually showed someone fitting the camera step by step (but it did make it look MUCH easier than it was in reality!). The only thing I'd add on the installation is the tool that came as part of the item was only 50% of the tools I needed. Its plastic and not narrow enough to initiate prying apart the console to fit the camera, I has to use a thin bladed knife to try it open enough to get the tool in. I would recommend they added a narrower/metal tool to make fitting easier. View More
Problem with Fitcamx & car's rear view camera workingw
Cadillac dealership installed Fitcamx in my 2016 XT5 in late December 2023. In the 3 months since installation, the car's rear vision camera (not the dashcam) has stopped working 2 times (1/3/24 & 3/27/24). Dealership can't figure out why. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. View More
Audi S3, The best looking dashcam.
I bought one for my Audi S3 8V facelift. Love it. I am in love with it. Please take other reviews with a pinch of salt, people seem to rate the product low stars for missing features like gps, which the company never claimed it had in the first place. I dont want my dashcam to do anything other than record footage. I have had 0 issues with my device. Quality is good, the thing just works. It really is plug and play. View More
Recommended built in dash cam.
Well designed product with good customer service. Wanted a built in dash cam for my Citroën EC4. This is the only option other than the Citroen model, which is unobtainable. Bought it through Amazon UK, quick delivery. Quality good, but I found the instructions difficult to follow, however after contacting the company they sorted it out. Picture quality is ok, good enough to read number plates. Starts when you drive off and turns off when you arrive. I did find the app a little difficult to use. Overall a nice product with good customer service. Recommended. View More
Fitting FitCamX to Volvo S90
Recently bought a Volvo S90, and have had a few dash cams in various cars. My latest prior to the FitCamX was 70 Mai 360, which is a very good dash cam, and has the novelty of being able to tell it to “shoot left, right, or take a Vlog”. However, the main drawback is that it is a piece of windscreen furniture, and installing requires taking up a 12v/usb socket and trailing the wires around the dash, down the A pillar, and into the socket. The beauty of the Fitcam X is that it looks OEM, is tailor made for your car, can be installed in 2 minutes (which I have just done, and believe me I am not a competent DIYer lol. After install, connect the app to it, and there you go….all up and running inside 5 minutes. Excellent well made product 5 stars View More

Fitcamx, I have read some of the reviews on the fitcamx that are hear, these people to me are saying things that are not correct, my fitcamx is exactly what I was promised, really good quality, works perfectly, connects to the mobile with no problems, very easy to fit and costume services where fantastic. I give it ten out of ten, obviously I recommend the fitcamx. Don't listen to the bad reviews. View More
Two failures from two fitcamx products - waste of 500 dollars and fake "peace of mind"
My wife bought a Fitcamx for her Toyota, and I bought one for my Volvo. Eventually, my wife would get into an accident, which she was not at fault for. No problem, right? Just check the dashcam! WRONG - it had glitched and was not recording, and had not been for weeks. We hounded support for a solution, but ultimately were not given one and the product FAILED - PERIOD - to do its job. This morning, I was pulled over for running a red light, and wanted to use MY dash cam - which I had fitted a brand-new, name-brand SD card to and everything to try to avoid the same problems my wife had - and guess what? For some reason, it hadn't recorded - at all- the part I was pulled over for, and the video footage right before the incident cut off 30 seconds in for some reason. Completely unacceptable - all of the good reviews you see are from people impressed with the hardware and how seamlessly it integrates into your car - too bad the product DOESN'T WORK. We have spent between the two of us almost 500 dollars - for products that DO NOT WORK. We have WASTED that money and not seen the benefit. View More
Password reset
Password reset, I’ve been trying to reset the password and their customer service are not very helpful. They have been giving me the same instructions that doesn’t work! I have pressed the camera button for 15-20 seconds, that didn’t work. Pressed the reset button, that didn’t work. Called them and emailed so many times still giving me the same instructions that doesn’t work! Then they asked for the order # that I no longer have because I bought it through Amazon and it’s been over a year ! What does the order # have to do with resetting the password??? Do not buy this because if you ever need a have a problem resolved, you will not get it! View More

I have placed an order for a internal dashcam from them in April. Now it's november and I didn't receive anything. All the hype on social media about it it's clear, those are paid reviews. Total scam !!! Where's my refund at? Nowhere. View More

Zero complaints with my experience!
Ordered the Cupra Born / ID3 cam and have nothing but great things to say. Arrived within around 10 days, and installed within 10 minutes. All videos and instructions were on point and although it is a scary experience to take vital parts apart, it turned out to be incredibly simple. This may be different from one car to the next of course, but I genuinely have no complaints. Even the mould fits perfectly flush, looking like a stock item made by VW. The image quality is also excellent, with my first journey capturing some guy cutting me off at night, and showing everything. Can't recommend enough if you want good value, and a neat and tidy solution for your car. I do recommend Googling discount codes before buying. You can usually get a cheeky 10% off with no effort. just bough camera for mercedes , and what everyone advertising in youtube with paid promotions etc etc. instaled and checked parameters choice 4k its not even 1k resolution scam scam scam , parcel comes from china and its cheapest camera for 70 pounds shows better resolution not even 2k than this crap i dont know maybe they mixed something or what but its not even worth 50 pounds of quality ,maybe they mixed 2k camera with 4k resolution what i was ordered..... Top marks for the Mercedes E class version
I have the version for my Mercedes E class (2020) and have nothing but orange for it. OK delivery was very slow (fir done readon it sat with Anazon in the UK before delivery, but tracking was spot on). Installation was very easy taking 10 minutes start to finish including the software configuration. Video quality is good (review mode on phone is low resolution, but downloads in high resolution). It copes well going directly into the sun snd also works well at night). Finally, the installed installation is certainly neat and looks as if it was original fit in the car. As advised elsewhere I have informed my insurance company as they look on it as a hardwired unit as a modification to the car; they have noted and even given me a small refund as they view it as an additional safety feature. Fantastic and easy to install dashcam
Installed a FitcamX for my BMW 1 Series. Super easy installation video and the install look less than 5 minutes. I was having some automatic disconnection on the Wifi, but found instructions to turn off Bluetooth first (due to CarPlay via Wifi too). Video quality is excellent and you'd barely know the unit is installed as it closely matches the previous cover. Would recommend! View More
Dash cam for F Pace
Dash cam for F Pace. There are two model numbers. I emailed the company with pictures of rear view mirror cowel and they said it was model 6053. The dash cam arrived and the casing doesn’t fit correctly. Their customer support is via email and due to timeline between UK and China/ Hong Kong the response is not quick. After about a week of dialogue and taking pictures of the casing part numbers of the dash cam,original casing and fitment they wanted me to send them a video of me installing the dash cam when I asked them how to return the cam for a refund. You have to pay for a tracked return. View More
