Excellent customer support.

After reporting an issue with my printer, Jan from CS arranged a replacement part and had it shipped to me. 9 days total shipping time is pretty good in my eyes.

Wonderful service

I had my printer for a couple months and had had several really good prints, but one print failed, in a big way, and left a blob of filament that ripped off the thermistor wiring. After some initial communication in which I supplied Sean with some photographs, Support was very understanding and sent me an entire new extruder and hotend! Amazing customer service. View More

Worst customer support i've ever had to…

Worst customer support i've ever had to deal with.. Even Creality is better and that's saying ALOT about how horrible Sovol is. Long email response times without even reading the emails and they just try to wear you out until you eventually give up.. sv06 plus came with MASSIVE defects from factory and they're just avoiding the issue. They scrub their reddit community from comments about their support as well.. Gamble with their printers, good value if you don't get a lemon. Got a lemon? You're not going to get any real help in resolving the issue. View More

Worst purchase decision ever

Context: I wanted to buy my first 3D printer. So I browsed around different places on the internet. The Sovol recommendation kept popping up by different reviewers. So I took the chance, and joined the Sovol SV06+ wave aka the “Prusa killer” product. So I preordered it. I have been salty ever since. Let me tell you my story. The printer finally came to my possession after several months of waiting. I was excited because I had found several free STL files I wanted to print for my friends, so I had different kind and colors of filament ready. But I never got that far. I assembled my printer and followed the included pamphlet guide on how to do the gantry calibration, set the Z offset and do the auto bed leveling. Once I completed those steps loaded it with the white PLA filament that comes included. Then I inserted the SD card, which also comes included, and made it print the benchy stored on it. The power supply fan is super loud. It’s always on 100% even if my printer is idle. I suspect that it’s because the power supply is of low quality. Anyway the benchy was ugly, and had tons of scarring. It did not look like what is shown on YouTube. I could not understand why at first. Remember, it was my first 3D printer and I was a complete beginner. I asked on Reddit and there were a few suggestions such as I should re-slice benchy and try again. So I did. It went better but I could still hear like my nozzle was scratching the print while moving. To keep it short. I experimented with all the different slicer settings, and slowly improved. But then the fan that blows air to the print broke. So I decided I might as well upgrade to a 5015 since the standard cooling is rather abysmal. After printing several different calibration parts I noticed my printer is VERY inconsistent. So I decided to take a look at the hardware. I saw suggestion such as checking on how warped the bed is. I installed Klipper and ran the bed mesh, and oh my… my printer bed was worse than the Grand Canyon. So I decided to follow some suggestions on installing silicone feet under my bed so I can adjust every corner to make it as even as possible. It made it slightly better, but I still had a huge bulge in the middle which I have never been able to fix. It is actually physically visible. After some more calibration prints my thermistor suddenly gave up. So I ordered a new extruder from Sovol. It took more than 1 month to arrive because Sovol chose the cheapest shipping possible!!! It came.. finally.. I had to calibrate the e-steps, and started to do some calibration prints again. I still had the nozzle scraping issue, but had gotten used to it. I decided, even though the calibration prints were not good looking, I wanted to do the prints I actually bought the printer for. Since I had gone through a lot of filament for these prints, and no sign of improvements could be seen. As I am printing a big undisclosed print, I can suddenly hear that the extruder is doing a lot of click sounds. At first I believe I had a clog, but as I progressed into the issue I found out it’s more sinister than that. After disassembling the entire extruder I saw that the planetary gears were warped!!!! Like what!? It’s a brand new printer. How is this possible? So I decided to exchanged the planetary gears from my previous extruder with the thermistor issues into this one. That solved the problem. I was able to finish a few prints over the duration of a few weeks until one of my stepper motors suddenly gave up. And this is where I finally gave up. Even when I was able to print, the quality of the prints were never good. There was always some kind of artifacts on them. I think that I spent more than 200 hours debugging this printer. Several weekends wasted. I went from being a complete beginner to an expert in 3D printing thanks to this printer. Conclusion: - The components Sovol uses in their printers are very low quality - They give free stuff to their reviewers which makes the reviewers do disingenuous reviews - Their support does not exist. They answer you once every 3-5 days - They don’t have any quality control. It’s a hit or miss with what you get - Nothing special about them. They are yet another Chinese printer clone company If you wonder why these printers only cost 1/4 of what a Prusa costs here is why: They don’t pay a QC team. They don’t pay a support team. They handpick the lowest quality components. Also.. the other feedbacks here are not lying. Their return policy is a scam. You better off buying their product from Amazon. View More

Competent and helpful customer service

I purchased a set of heat breaks for my SV05 and the size of the product I received was incorrect. After explaining the problem to Jan at customer service, Claudia confirmed the tracking number and a few weeks later I received the correct heat breaks. Overall a positive experience. View More

Terrible customer support

Terrible customer support, I have 2 SV04 printers, stepper motor died on one of the extruders (machine only 3 months old) they won't send a replacement motor under warranty, they recon its due to blockage, which its not, had to buy full extruder kit from Jake 3d to repair it myself, as there's no spare parts available on their website for the SV04. I even offered to send the broken motor back to them so they could test it...no reply. View More

Very poor support

Ordered a brand new printer from Amazon that does not work. I have now been trying to contact Sovol for support for almost a week with no response. Extremely poor customer service despite the reviews.

Poor customer service and product.

P*ss poor customer service and products. Bought 2 of their printers and had constant issues with both printers and no customer support from Sovol. They insist on being contacted through Facebook as a main means of communication then ignore messages. £500 wasted on their crappy products I can't even use. Should of gone with an Ender printer since Creality actually give a crap about their customers. View More

Might be the best in its price range

Might be the best in its price range If you have the right expectations you wont be disappointed. You will have to tinker a bit but it will print pretty well out of the box. You might have some problems but the support will help you and send the replacements but they will be slow. For what they cost they are pretty good tho, I don't think you could expect much more. Shop does not conform to German law (2 years Gewährleistung).

The filament sensor of my sovol sv01 pro was defect shortly after 1 year. The shop refuses to exchange the part or any other warranty option since the 1-year warranty of the shop was already over. However, there's a two year legal warranty in Germany by law (Gewährleistung - not sure about the actual English translation of this word). The sovol support simply rejects anything. View More

I began my journey with sovol in 2022…

I began my journey with sovol in 2022 with the SV01 second hand with the support of all the YouTube 3D printer groups, I was able to get through a lot of the issues. I then purchased the sv06. What a great machine. I did a lot of modifications and upgrades and then sold it and moved to the SV07 which is now what I call my dragon slayer it prints out beautiful dragons among other things since the merge with Comgrow I now have the T300 had some issues with the nozzle. Which tech support replaced immediately? I then purchased the SV 01 pro. Had some issues with the touch screen. Tech support sent me out another one and then the hot end was giving the issues through my warranty. They send out another one and a motherboard but I have yet to put that together since I received my SV08 all I can say about it so far is WOW. Bottom line, if you communicate and supply videos of issues, the tech team and Ben will always be there for you. That's my experience. Thank you, Sovol team View More

Awesome Company, Respects Open Source

I own both a SV05 and SV08, and both are awesome machines. I have done a lot of upgrading to the SV05, SV08 is still fairly stock so far. The machines are Open Source, where they can, especially the newer ones. Company Reps are extremely responsive to issues, and helping with problems very quickly. View More

Good value printers

Good value printers, offering feature set well above their price tag. I have the SV06+ SV07+ T300 and SV08, all working without major issues ever since I got them. There were minor issues with the T300 and SV08 which were quickly resolved by the friendly team at Sovol. I think they upgraded their customer service since the early days, based on my experience I can recmmend them. View More

Great customer service

Great customer service and communication. I ordered an SV08 printer on release day and was given a 2 month ETA; perfectly reasonable considering these printers were being shipped out via freight from China. The estimated delivery was mid-June but delays occured for one reason or another. I contacted Sovol via email to inquire about my order status and customer support was prompt to update me regarding delays in logistics, which were outside of their control. The moment the order was picked up by courier I was emailed and provided a tracking number. Just received the printer and it was well-packaged and performs flawlessly. Overall, a pleasant experience for a launch-day 3D printer. View More

I couldn't be more thrilled with my…

I couldn't be more thrilled with my purchase of the Sovol SV08 3D printer. This machine has truly elevated my 3D printing experience in ways I didn't even think possible. First off, the Klipper firmware is a game-changer. The increase in processing speed and accuracy is noticeable right out of the box. Features like "Input Shaping" and "Pressure Advance" have made my prints flawless from edge to edge, and "PID Tuning" has kept the temperature perfectly stable. My prints are coming out better than ever, with fewer errors and much higher quality. The Quad-Gantry-Leveling (QGL) system is another feature I absolutely love. It uses four independent Z motors to level the entire gantry smoothly and accurately. This has drastically reduced the number of print failures I experience, and it's even capable of detecting and compensating for any wear or damage over time. The level of precision this adds to my prints is incredible. The CoreXY kinematics system is also a fantastic addition. By reducing the moving mass and improving motion control, my prints are completed much faster without losing any quality. The acceleration and movement speed of the toolhead are impressive, making the whole printing process quicker and more efficient. What really stands out, though, are the linear rails on all seven axes (4Z+2Y+1X). The smooth and precise motion they provide has made a world of difference in the quality of my prints. Every movement is accurate and consistent, resulting in prints that are incredibly detailed and smooth. Overall, the Sovol SV08 has surpassed all my expectations. It's a reliable, high-performing printer that delivers top-notch results every time. Whether you're just starting out or you're an experienced 3D printing enthusiast, I highly recommend the SV08. It's a purchase you won't regret! View More
