Problem with stable wifi
Unfortunately the software is just really bad. Mainly the ability to connect the printer to wifi and the iPad. We had bough 20 printers for staff and this issue was persistent across different devices, phones and wifi setup. Eventually, like after 2h, you might get it to connect. Just to find that for the next time use you need to do it again! The device is well build but unless the App is updated so that wifi is a stable connection I really cannot recommend. Which is a bummer as in principle it’s an easy thing to have and use for the kids. View More

Toy box 3d printers are awful
Have 3 3d printers. This was the first one. It was great at the start! After 700 prints (probably 250 print hours total?) it completely stopped working. I tried to print a 30 minutes print, and barely tapped the printer, and it turned off AFTER HALF THE PRINT WAS DONE!? There is no power outage recover, no pause button (my other 2 printers have both of these. They are a standard for 3d printers). The only thing you can do with a print after it's started is cancel it. Plus, the toybox "Official" Filament is over $60 per Kilogram. But, the toybox official filament works worse than my Creality filament (which costs less than $20 per kilogram). Plus, toybox makes you think that they have the only filament you can use on the printer. Ever since toybox released Toybox "Plus," they charge for every feature, and you can't print most of the toys. If the "engineers" at Toybox had a clue on what they were selling, (most of them probably never used a 3d printer in their lives) they would figure out that it would be best to take there printers off the market. Other printers such as the Bambu Labs A1 mini cost $199, wheras Toybox's "Comet" costs the low price of $349. Maybe the toybox is easier for kids, but for nearly double the price, it's not worth. In my opinion, toybox should never sell another 3d printer again. Stay Away! Edit: Toybox customer service also sucks. The printer has a warranty of 6 months. For a 350 dollar 3d printers, that ridiculous. Also, you can buy 3d printer filament for a toybox that is 1/4th price. Never ever buy a toybox. NEVER! View More
Terrible product
Terrible product. Stopped working within an hour of using it.
Sells non-working printers and won't respond for help or refund.
Spent $400 on one of their 3d Printers as a Christmas present for my son to find it won't even turn on out of the box. Contacted customer service and after 2 weeks and several attempts to contact the company, have not gotten any response. Doing some internet searching to find tons of other family's having are victims to the same scam. View More
Terrible product
Terrible product. It stopped working almost immediately. Customer services told us to take the product apart and remove the SD card, put it back in then try again. Not only did this not work, but you really shouldn't have to do that to make a brand new £300+ product work. We got this for my daughter's main Christmas present and it doesn't even work! View More

Great on-ramp for 3d printing (we have the Alpha 2 model). Takes a bit of figuring out and not everything prints first time but for simple stuff you get it working well. The software that comes with the printer is great with lots of options and ideas for printing. Very good educational toy. View More
Really disappointed
Our printer started off well, but then the prints just did not work. We tried the troubleshooting tips, worked for a print or two, but then failure again. We have contacted customer support, but one month later still no reply. Going to ask for a refund. Really disappointed in customer service. View More
Very Poor customer service & premium designs
The printer itself is very good - decent quality and an array of great toys to print. However! many of the premium toys do not print off correctly and appear to have design issues where the same print will faulter at the same points time and time again wasting food and money. This NASA space rocket is partciulr poor and it appears the machine cannot cope with parts that take 2/3hrs not matter how you setup the machine or precautions you take. This issue is exacerbated by the very poor level of customer service and the general customer experience. There is no way to contact support other than via online contact form which you then receive an email confirming your query. Weeks and weeks go by and nobody responds despite numerous follow-up emails. Very disappointing, View More
Printer does not print any item…
Printer does not print any item properly if it takes over ten minutes or so. I have done all the trouble shooting possible and I tried contacting customer service numerous times, no response at all. I was hoping for a replacement printer but now I would just like to get a refund for this item, but I can tell they're going to wait until I'm outside of my return window before they contact me.. if they do at all. Has never connected despite troubleshooting, not usable.
Despite all efforts, following all "help" articles posted and following the instructions sent by the support team, the printer will not connect to the WiFi and therefore we have never been able to use it. A very expensive mistake and a very sad STEM obsessed 10yo are the result of this. Sadly it seems we are not the only ones. View More
Very confused with the negative reviews…
Very confused with the negative reviews here. We’ve had this since Christmas 2024. It was immediately plug and play and simple enough that my 9 year old happily uses it with no help needed, including switching the filament colors. So far zero problems. View More
Zero stars if I could
Zero stars if I could. Missing package and I am having to fight for a refund. Waiting weeks for my money back will not be helpful.
