Incompetent and Unreliable
I used them when I lived in France and I had the NC address, everything went smoothly. I started using them again when I moved back to the States with a CA address and it is an absolute nightmare. I live van life so I need a reliable permanent address for the DMV, credit cards, etc. It is now at the point where I will get a delivery notification from the sender and my mail will show up in my portal 10-14 days later. Cool cool cool. My mail arrives in LA, gets sent from there to NC, then forwarded to me. Customer service just gives me a canned answer blaming the USPS but if my tracking info says delivered 7 days after being sent and then STILL takes 2 weeks to process on their end, it is a straight up excuse for failures on their end. I'll be finding a new service and going through the laborious process of changing my address on file with over 30 companies. Can't wait to jump through all of those hoops! View More
Still waiting for my documents.....
We have had no problems except slow mail. But DO NOT send a Fed Ex or any important documents you need in a hurry. Fed Ex delivered a package last Tuesday at 1:30 pm. It's now Monday - 6 days later - and they have a "tracker" on it. And it has to go to NC from Florida? So upset while waiting for documents I should have had already. View More
Traveling Mailbox has the worst customer service!
Traveling Mailbox has the worst customer service of any company I have ever encountered. If you are management and reading this, please take note. You have to train your staff on customer service or drop them altogether. The way they handle customers is horrible, combative, unfriendly, unhelpful, and rude. They do not respond to questions but instead ignore them and repeat the same lines like a robot. I might as well be talking to a robot. It would be a lot cheaper than paying actual humans to do the job, and the level of service would be exactly the same or better. I honestly would prefer knowing that my money is not going toward paying such incompetent people as your current support staff. They do not treat people like paying customers who need to be retained. What is the lifetime value of a customer? Because one more experience like I just had, and you will lose another. Please, please, either train your staff better or fire them and save your money. From one business owner to another, drop the dead weight! During my experience, I looked up your reviews and found, wow, other people are saying the same thing. Look at your reviews! View More
The great "Extra Fees" scam - buyer beware
The service they provide (receiving mail and scanning it) is fine. It's a simple task and they complete it. But honestly, any mail service you purchase can do that part. Everything is fine . . . until it's not. My neighbor received 7 bills of mine to his house by mistake, so I gave him my Traveling Mailbox address and he mailed them in a 6"x9" envelope so that Traveling Mailbox could scan them. Pretty normal, right? Apparently, no. Traveling Mailbox said it was a "package," not an envelope. They claimed it to be 2" thick. It was seven bills with a single piece of paper in each. 2" thick of BS. But there's a reason they say 2" because once they claim it is 2" thick, the fees start rolling. It's no longer an envelope; it's a "package." $5 to "receive" the package for me. Another $5 to "open" the package for me. Another $11.50 to "transfer" the package for me . . . to where, the scanner??? Had the 7 bills just come directly to Traveling Mailbox, every single one would have been included in my plan; but because they were mailed in one envelope, all hell broke loose in the fees department. So my decision as a result - Never again. There are tons of companies that provide this service. They made an extra $21 off of me today, but they lost me forever. If I can't trust you not to scam me with fees, how can I trust you to open my mail and treat it securely? View More
You pay for their mistakes.
I've had a mailbox with these people for 7 years and have forwarded mail to myself many times. This week I forwarded mail and received an email that I sent it Fed-X when I know I sent it regular mail. You have to make an effort to change from regular mail to overnight. I did not do that and yet they are charging me and telling me there is no way they could have made this mistake. I will be looking for another way to forward my mail. View More
Absolutely the worst
Absolutely the worst. Could not get it through their heads that, in some situations, I still get mail under my pre-married name and falsely claimed that USPS requires two forms of ID for both. Leaving aside the fact I provided a court-certified copy of my marriage license, driver’s license and more, this is just stupid. It’s not like I changed my name to John Rockefeller or something like that. I simply changed my last name to that of my spouse. View More
Just AWFUL!!!!
What constitutes a package and what is a letter are actually quite baffling when it comes to Traveling Mailbox. To top it off, Customer Service is filled with a strange holier-than-thou snotty vibe. Super off-putting. Have an international mail emergency? They could not care less. Traveling Mailbox does not offer DHL for delivery which is one of the best companies in the WORLD to have items delivered internationally. STAY AWAY from Traveling Mailbox. I am switching to U.S Global Mail. A bit more expensive but I am glad to pay for better Customer Service and access to DHL. If you are a potential customer who is living outside the USA you will rue the day that you signed up with them. DON'T DO IT!!!! View More
dont send important letters to Traveling mailbox.
I had 2 debit cards sent to my Traveling Mailbox. Neither cards were delivered and put in my inbox. I am very susspecious that employees feel that a debit card is inside a letter and have bad intrentions with debit-credit cards. Very disapponted. Additionally the average scan time is 13 hours!!!! Way too long. View More
I would not recommend
I mailed 4 letters to the traveling mailbox to gauge their accuracy. They only scanned in 3 of 4 letters, 75% accuracy. In all 4 cases, I used the exact same mailing address. I have mail forwarded to me via certified mail with a 3-day delivery window. It has been 18 days and no package...still shows in process on USPS end so not sure if the Traveling Mail box correctly selected the correct postage type to get it to me in time or in fairness it is a USPS issue. Eager to get the mail to determine root cause. I have also had vendors mail me checks which have never been scanned in. I have noticed that in some cases it the vendor has the address correct bu missing the PMB # it gets very delayed or not scanned in so question what Traveling mailbox has a process around that since it appears this is one issue but should have a manual process to research and have those items scanned in. When the time is right, we will be looking for a different service given their accuracy is lackluster at best. On the bright side, their on line chat support is very good and responsive. View More
I had an account for nearly seven (7)…
I had an account for nearly seven (7) years, I was desperate and decided to stick with them because of already being overseas and changing my address again would constitute more problems ... And they know this, your trapped. Aside from being more reasonable on monthly costs of service. Here are a lists of downsides. 1.) They will not send your mail out via USPS, you must use a premium carrier (EXPENSIVE). Why, I asked, and their answer was along the lines is that is their business model. But why is that fact not advertised when you sign-up. SILENCE. 2.) Travis, the supposed owner, is rude and thinks he is above the law, that he has immunity and does not care. I had many disputes with him over the years. 3.) They will not mail forward anything or return back to the sender per say. They just don't and will not. Terrible. 4.) I chatted once with online service and out of the blue and employee started speaking of my personal life issues and matters and himself (so, they were reading my personal and private mail). 5.) What topped it here for me is that when you go to cancel your service its read as if you can login and check your mail, for six remaining months and delete what not by seeing the inbox item (not scanned, just the envelope face, etc.) and then you can compile and send in bulk to yourself or another. Wrong. You can't see anything, just the number of mail-pieces and they will delete them per weekly periods, so your forced to use premium up-charged mailing services routinely --- 6.) You must, but can not do a mail forwarding address change to update with them. Their argument is that they are an authorized third party of USPS. What a load of crap. USPS will not do and address change with them its not to say they can't do it. Yet, your forced to continue using the services of premium to mail yourself forwarded mail and never being able to properly do a mail update vis address update USPS so go's its you who have to notify everyone and likely you will never be able to do all of that and will miss important parcels of mail. 7.) Oh, and I had deliverable mailed checks which were missing and requested full scan. On that basis. Several times. I wonder how many checks they steal and cash somehow and just get away with it. You aren't going to know and what are you going to do about it. See #10. 8.) Customer support is snotty and arrogant in response again like they are an arm of the Federal government. 9.) A lot of times, your address is voided and not accepted and items returned because its a virtual address. They will not tell you this though. 10.) Probably well connected in local government and court, so file your lawsuit and ask for a transfer to a further county or district court. 11.) ***FIND ANOTHER COMPANY BEFORE YOUR SUCKED IN LIKE I WAS*** View More
18 months of positive experiences so far ...
I've been using Traveling Mailbox for 18 months, and I'm glad I decided to take a chance despite the number of bad reviews I saw here. All my experiences so far have been great. Customer service has been prompt and friendly (I love chat-based help), the cost seems reasonable, and I am grateful I won't have to change my address when I move. I hope things continue as they have been because if they do, I'll be a customer for life. View More
At first it worked fine
At first it worked fine, then I received other people's mail and later I got no mail. They offered to send a test mail which never made it!
Extremely Satisfied
I have been with traveling mailbox since 2014. I can't believe its been 9 years. In that time, they have never lost an item, delayed a shipment or have been non responsive. I originally joined them because of their great reviews. I was absolutely floored to see all the negative reviews. Traveling as much as I do I don't know what I would do without them and they are the only service that I trust to handle my personal mail. View More

Absolute horrible support that is just…
Absolute horrible support that is just a repeating robot, fraudulent charges without any warning. Just repeats they will not refund it, refuse to assist in why I was charged just they recently changed their policy with no notice on the website, no email that it was updated, and no alert when you shred an item that you will be charged until over an hour later when you get a receipt. Started good but went BAD
My relationship with this company started well as they were scanning my mail and uploading it but for the past month I've received nothing to no avail. I am looking to switch companies because of this as this has been a terrible situation to deal with and costing me a lot of money. View More
Same experience as every one star here
Same experience as every one star here. Something is clearly wrong with this inbred family business. Super expensive for what you get - and what you get is seriously unprofessional. There has GOT to be a service out there that does this better than this one - because the bar is set REALLY low by this one. View More
Poor Customer Service
Extremely poor, unresponsive customer service. I received a check for a large sum of money and asked them to send it to my bank via Fedex overnight. I received a tracking number from TravelingMailbox (TM). TM says the package was picked up. Fedex says they never picked it up. Fedex tracking number shows no movement. I called and emailed TM customer service numerous times to no avail. They promise to get back to me with an update but never did. I concluded that my check is either lost or stolen so I asked the issuer to cancel the check. I also asked TM to refund the money they charged me for the FedEx service which was never implemented. No response from Traveling Mailbox. View More
They lose valuable mail
My experience is similar to many other reviewers here. I travel internationally and have haven't had a problem in 2 years. However, I had my UPS Store forward my first class mail to TM. The tracking showed it was received by Kaitlyn but it was never scanned or opened. After 15 days and repeated emails and calls, I have lost hope that my mail will ever be recovered. View More
Crappy Service
I submitted a BBB complaint because I am experiencing significant inconsistencies in the processing and delivery of my mail, resulting in extreme delays and, more disturbingly, cases of undelivered mail. For example, a check from Fidelity, mailed on February 16, 2024, has yet to reach me as of March 28, 2024. When I reached out to customer service to address this issue, I was told they couldn't locate my mail without a tracking number. This isn't an isolated incident. In 2022, even with a tracking number and confirmation of an employee signing for my mail, it still took an excessive two months for the mail to be located and delivered to me. I request an immediate audit of all mail received by Traveling Mailbox, regardless of whether it has a tracking number. I need all received mail to be located, scanned, and uploaded to my account promptly. The ongoing issues with mail delivery have reached a critical point where my trust in your service is severely compromised, especially regarding urgent mail. I am considering filing a complaint with the United States Postal Service to address these significant concerns. View More
