The tesla Coil we purchased had a defective power board. We contacted their customer service and immediately they gave us options to resolve the problem. We elected to have a new power board sent to us, which was received in one week. Excellent communication and fast responses to emails and delivery of new board. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Very Cool Project!!!! Assembling and operating this Cool little steam engine, brings me back to the first real job after graduating HS. I became an apprentice machine builder of corrugated box machinery. I worked in manufacturing from 1973-1995, and saw the writing on the wall, so I went back to school and got an associate degree of applied science in HVAC&R. I love working on mechanical equipment, and really love ENGINEDIY, I have purchased a number of different products, and there have been no problems what so ever. Keep up the good work!!! View More

Malware warning
No tech support. Undownloadable control app. Flagged as being filled with malware, rendering the model useless. Not happy at all.
Nice set to put together
Nice set to put together, had a few problems, but all worked out after I paid attention more to the diagrams. I found some pictures that were a little off, but I worked it out. sure is a challenge for me doing first one at 72 years old, but ready keeps your mind on things. Fiddly assembly...but great end result!
When assembled according to the directions the shaft would not rotate...0.020" shims between the combustion chamber assembly and the low pressure turbine assembly solved the problem. The atomizer and illuminated tailpipe assembly gave GREAT visual effect. Not as trouble free as my other 3 EngineDIY kits but well worth the extra effort! View More

As good as it looks
I bought this Drill for drilling small holes in PCBs so needed something quite fast and accurate. Although I've only just recieved it I'm really impressed witht he quality of the build, it appears to be CNC'd from Steel and Brass and the finish is fantastic. I only ordered the drill and it came with a variable power supply with a non-UK plug so I'm powering mine from a bench power supply until I can change the plug but I may continue with the Bench supply rater than risk the supplied power supply as it seems vary, very light even if it is switched mode. One improvement could be to have a place to store the chuck key but that's me being picky, overall it's a very nice Drill, very solid and stable in operation in the limited tesing I've done. When you release the clamp on the drill body gravity will slide the drill body down the pillar so you must keep hold of the body when releasing the clamp, maybe a second collar on the pillar would be a good idea, maybe I'll make one myself. I ordered the Retrol SE-1 Full Metal Beam Engine. I love it! Brings me back to my childhood when I had a mini steam engine. I broke a screw on assembly, and there was also a part that was drilled but not tapped. I emailed EngineDIY the very next day asking to purchase the screw and the part the screw broke off in. And letting them know about the untapped part. I paid for the parts and they promptly sent it out. Including the one part drilled but not tapped. I think they did such a great job that I also ordered from them the Enjomor Speed-Controlled single Cylinder Stirling Engine. Another great product from EngineDIY. I run that one every day since I have gotten it. Overall I am very satisfied with EngineDIY. Anyone can sell you an item. But when something is wrong, and you need assistance with getting it right, that is how you can tell a good company over bad ones. The good ones respond quickly and get the issue resolved ASAP.
