Steer clear
I bought a Fitcamx dash cam for a 2020 Acura RDX. I had no idea it was to be shipped from China, which took more than a week. This was annoying, but ok. I installed the camera, and it looks great. It truly looks built in, and wires are completely hidden. This is where the good ends. I could not find the camera on the WiFi list on my phone. I tried all the recommendations in the instructions, to no avail. I contacted customer service, which is a joke. I don’t know where customer service is located, but response time was often more than a day. After a week of back and forth with them, and me finally asking for a refund, they agreed to send a new camera. A week later, the new camera arrived. I installed it, and this camera would not turn on. I checked all the wiring connections, but it still wouldn’t work. Tried the old camera (which turned on but wouldn’t connect to my phone) and it turned on, so the wiring was fine. I removed the camera and contacted customer service again. They asked that I send them a picture of the wiring. No way! I told them there was no way I was going to reinstall the camera just to take a picture for them, and demanded a refund. They agreed to refund my credit card, but only after they actually receive the cameras back. They did send a pre-paid USPS label. I would point out that most companies will refund your money as soon as you drop off the return at UPS or USPS, but not Fitcamx. They actually have to have the return in their hands. I am still waiting for the cameras to arrive at their facility for my return, I sure hope they don’t get lost in the mail or Fitcamx claims they never received the package. This camera does not record speed not GPS location. For 250$+ camera this is pretty useless as dash cam. I do not recommend it.
FitcamX are not a reputable company
I ordered an integrated dashcam with additional polarising filter. The camera had a foreign object inside the lens and the polarising filter was an inappropriate, generic item that didn’t fit correctly and was intended to be mounted with double sided tape leaving a large gap above the camera as the filter was oversized and flat compared to the moulded camera. I had very long winded discussions by email with FitcamX refusing to believe there was a problem. Whilst they accepted a return they refused to refund either theirs or my postage costs. I would add that the camera was also of very poor quality, with cheap brittle plastic mounting. View More
Great product
So far so good. Got the front and rear for polestar 2. The rear set up is a little fiddly but there’s a good video on YouTube and once I got it in I can’t see it in my rear view mirror. Front camera is so easy to fit and whole thing works perfectly. Definitely the best option out there if you want something that looks like it came with the car View More
Very dishonest company
Very dishonest company, DO NOT buy from them. They will Lie to you. I ordered a camera on Sunday morning and found another better camera and I contacted them first thing on Monday morning to cancel my order. They lied to me and told me it's been shipped already. Came very nicely packed didn't take long to ship. Plastic is good quality (seems very slightly lower quality than the cars however) Easy install, good camera. Fits my toyota chr 2024 Wish it was a little bit lower profile but it's better an anything else out their View More
They advertised my car on their website, took my money and then told me they only had a "generic" model for my car, not the OEM look.
I searched on the website for a model that fitted my car and they stated that one was available. I placed my order and they took my money. A few days after that I got an email asking me for a picture of my rear view mirror surround, which I provided. A few days after that I got another email asking for some different pictures, which I provided. A few days later I got an email stating that they didn't have a camera that fitted my car, would I accept a generic model instead? I declined and asked for a refund, as the only reason for buying a FitcamX is that it looks OEM. After a couple of days, I got an email stating that I would get a refund after approx. 7 business days. This means that FitcamX will have had my money for almost a month. It's a great way for them to make money - get your money, invest it for a month, then return it - no equipment required. Don't waste your time. View More
You cannot delete locked files and no gps.
I have this dashcam fitted on my volvo xc90 and my first impression was good specially very easy to install and looks built in the car but thats it. Video is okay but not great. It does not have gps for speed recording. You cannot delete locked files on the app and have to format the sdcard everytime you want to delete locked files which is really annoying. View More
Awful Company
I ordered a camera on 06/05/2025, and it was delivered to the wrong address due to an error on FitCam’s website. While the billing address was correct, the shipping address had been incorrectly populated. Unfortunately, the parcel was delivered to a neighbouring property, but when I went to retrieve it, it was nowhere to be found. According to the tracking, the parcel had simply been left on the doorstep, not handed to a resident. I contacted Amazon Shipping, who advised me to reach out to FitCam directly and that’s when the real trouble began. Initially, FitCam refused to do anything unless I provided a ‘lost item certificate’ from Amazon. I contacted Amazon, who confirmed that no such certificate exists. I sent this information to FitCam, who then offered a replacement, but due to the incredibly unhelpful and obstructive nature of their customer service, I declined it. As of today, despite numerous emails back and forth, I still haven’t received a refund. I’ve since escalated the issue to my credit card provider. I even provided FitCam with an email from Amazon clearly stating that the item is considered lost and that no ‘lost item certificate’ exists. FitCam’s response? They refused the refund because the email didn’t include an official company logo. They keep shifting the goalposts to avoid issuing a refund. It’s clear they’ll do anything to dodge responsibility. Update: 08/1/2025 Fitcamx as a company operates ethically, and I could one day try their products again. I removed their camera from my car because I just never felt confident I could rely on it if an accident were to occur. I returned the camera to them, not expecting, but hoping for a refund, and they refunded me for the full amount. So, if you want to try their product, do so cautiously. I would not hardwire the camera. At the end of my engagement with them, they wanted me to try using the camera using the default setup, but they only sent me the hardwire kits as I specified, and the camera was already out and replaced. Original. I installed the camera in September 2024 and assumed it was working fine. I checked it for the first time after we were almost in an accident in April and realized it had stopped recording months ago. I reformatted the SD card and ensured loop recording was enabled, and after another near accident in May, it stopped recording 10 days after the reset. Since installing firmware after firmware, I have been getting the runaround from FitCamX, indicating they are clueless about the issue. Check your recordings regularly if you have this "dash camera" installed. As soon as I order a replacement, I will remove this POS just for peace of mind. Do not buy! This defeats the sole purpose of owning a dashcam. View More

Great OEM look with JUNK camera. No GPS integration. No location. No speed information. No date or time other than manual input. This is an example of a great idea with fatal flaws. Do yourself a huge favor and buy a real dashcam with the absolutely important data included. This is not what you want. BEWARE! View More
Gotta warn anyone interested in this…
Gotta warn anyone interested in this cam. First of all, I bought one and received it two days ago. I purchased it because of the YT reviews and a few folks on my F150 forum use them. My experience with this company was pretty bad. So my unit or perhaps the wiring harness was defective. Could not get it to power up. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting as well as double and triple checking to make sure I was installing according to the directions. Honestly, a monkey could install it as it’s really simple. Unfortunately no matter what I did, it wouldn’t power up. Attempted to contact the company and quickly found out that the main hub is in China with a distribution center in Pleasanton, California. They have NO customer service support phone number. Any communication is done via email and it took a mere 7 hours to get a response from their tech support folks. They had me try the steps to correct the issue which I had already don’t multiple times. After an agonizing afternoon, trying to get someone to send me a return shipping authorization, they finally sent one but at my expense. Shipping back was 30 bucks due to tracking and signature requirements. They stated that they wouldn’t pay for shipping because I didn’t send them a photo of the camera connected to the Y harness proving it was set up. I explained that after 7 hours of messing with the camera and not getting any real support from them I had removed the camera and boxed it up to be sent back. Not only do they not have a customer service number, they want you to troubleshoot and get technical help via email. Which is fine if you have 3-4 days to exchange communications. They said it’s probably a bad harness or a wire broke but were totally unwilling to pay for return shipping unless I went back and installed the unit again to take a photo. Horrible company with garbage customer service. Much better options out there folks. View More

Contacted company to see if they made one for my car took pictures and they said yes and even sent a link to the ‘correct’ one When it finally arrived I went out to fit it to find that the wiring was too long to fit into the housing and the plug that powers the camera was also long and inflexible. Tried repeatedly to adjust the wiring to try to get it to fit but no good. Contacted customer service to return but only got the you’ll have to pay the postage and customs charges as it isn’t faulty. If if doesn’t fit it is faulty The product itself is flimsily made. Cannot comment on the video quality as I never got far enough to take the blue plastic lens cover off View More
Great camera, beyond awful support!
I was impressed with the video quality after I had installed their cam. The SD card lasts about 1 1/2 hours, which should be more than sufficient. On the downside, beside plenty of warnings (faulty headlights and dynamic wipers), my heads-up display was barely visible. As soon as I switched back to OEM, everything was working fine again. They offered me another y-cable, which didn't work either. But to top it off, despite of the promises by their support to take the camera back, they came up over and over again with what they need to see since I am apparently to dumb to connect their 3 pin connector for the dynamic wipers with the OEM one. After about 20 emails back and forth, I was supposed to proof it was connected properly, which is practically impossible (at least for a Golf MK 8.5). So eventually I didn't bother anymore since I knew the next request would be to see me switching it and hearing the clicking sound. Be aware that this company may give you plenty of headaches if things don't work out the way they promise, and in the end, they may not take the camera back getting you even more frustrated! It's worth a try if you are potentially willing to waste that money. View More
I must say this an interesting one
I must say this an interesting one. I bought it for a Q5 based on glowing reviews. I received it and then said to myself let's get somebody better than me to install it. Installer would not touch it saying they have so many bad reviews of it just messing with the cars electrical system and added that they (Fitcamx) had just bought good reviews online. Refused to install. Returned (unopened) and somehow was "LOST". Suggest you stay away - this place is BS. View More
No customer support
I bought the camera for a Skoda Elroq. It arrived promptly but fitting was a nightmare (support video for a car that’s only been on the market for a few months was 3 years old…..) Basically the camera is dead though mercifully the rain sensor still functions. Main problem now is that their support email address doesn’t work (email returned) so I’m stuck. The FAQs are useless and the instructions either deficient or incomprehensible. Anyone got a contact email address that works? View More
Easy to installed and looks good but…
Easy to installed and looks good but software is rubbish. Works for a while then seems to skip recording every minute or so. On a 20minute trip I get about 5 minutes of recording. And the file name means nothing despite me setting it they way I want it numerous times. Really pissed off with this thing. View More
Tucson 2022 installation
I purchased a package for my Tucson 2022. It included the main camera, the back camera, the fusebox cables and anti-glare lenses. Item arrived after 10 days from China. All accessories where included. Very easy installation but a little tricky in some places. I followed the instructions as shown in their video for the front camera and fuses. No problem there. For the back camera I followed instructions shown in a video from Youtube for my model. It was a little tricky as I had to remove the left column that hides the airbag and move the cable over it. It took me about an hour and a half. Video quality is very good. Parking sensor also works. Be mindful to pick the correct fuses in your car. For the time being all works great. I will do a follow up the next months if something changes. View More
NO PRODUCT/NO REFUND
I ordered the Fitcamx for 2020 Toyota Tacoma on 09/26. On 10/02 the Uniuni shipping company tracker said out for delivery, so i stayed home all day to return package to sender, without accepting. Nobody arrived to attempt a delivery, yet the Uniuni tracker said " delivery attempt made,unable to deliver. As it stands today 10/4 i have no dashcam, my money has not been refunded, and all lines of communication do not respond. I have filed a claim against the shipping company through the Better Business Bureau, and have gone to my bank to submit a claim through VISA, and my bank. We need to band together as consumers to put an end to these China online scam companies. One way is to lobby VISA and other creditors to stop any and all transactions with these companies, and create a redflag system that makes the cardholder aware that this company is a fraud. I'm just one person, but i will do my part to end this online criminal enterprise. Today 10/04 the package was delivered unopened, but damaged. FITCAMX agrees to accept the unopened, damaged box for another exact package, only not damaged. I am stuck with this junk. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!! View More
Wonderful Service Experience
Bought my wife a new vehicle a few months ago and order a dashcam from Fitcamx. The next day I was contacted by Fitcamx and asked to send a few pictures of the original housing so they could make absolutely sure that I received the correct camera. The package arrived in about 12-13 days. I was installing the unit on her vehicle and broke several tabs on the Fitcamx housing. I contacted the company and asked if I could buy just the housing and not have to pay for the internal electronics or camera. The gentleman that I spoke with went above and beyond. Even though I explained that it was broken because of my mistake, he sent me a new housing at no cost and didn't even charge me for shipping. I received the new one shortly thereafter and got it installed correctly. It works so well I just bought one for my truck. Great company with a great product. View More
