Stay away from Sirui if you wan't to return an item.
Wow, guys - I bought a tripod from them, I'm based in the UK and they dispatch from Germany. First there was no mention that they didn't have stock, their site showed item in stock and as I needed this item for a shoot, so I ordered it. It was a few days after I ordered it I was informed that it was not in stock, the e-mail wasn't well written either which made me nervous. I complain about this and they try to offer me a discount to make it better. I suggest a partial refund of the same quantity rather than a discount code but they refused. Then nothing happens - i have to follow up. Turns out the tripod and mid level spreader is separate and they are waiting for the spreader to turn up before sending the tripod. I ask them to send me the tripod first and I am puzzled by the lack of communication, regardless I took no notice. The parcel eventually arrives, and weeks after the mid level spreader, and even then I had to follow up on that. As I mentioned before, the e-mails are poorly written, unprofessional and their solutions are to offer you a low percentage discount code and not actually issue a partial refund or deal with the matter head on or effectively. Now this process has been painful enough, but this is only the beginning, When it comes to wanting to return the item, that's another story. You'll see that they'll try to discourage you - ".....we accept return requests for new products only and you are supposed to bear the shipping costs back and forth, the repacking fee, and the transaction fee. Or would you like to keep it with an extra 3% discount?" One thing that wasn't mentioned within the shipping cost is covering the import duties which I didn't realise, it isn't mentioned in their returns policy on their website either and I'm not versed on this with the UK leaving the EU and never having to go through this process before - so that's where i made a mistake. I sent the parcel back from the Uk to Germany and covered the cost, I notified them of this and provided a tracking number. The item was delivered and was held at customs - they contacted the warehouse to tell them this, however they didn't act. I received no correspondence from them that I was to cover these cost, no notice that they wouldn't pick it up, and they didn't even take the incentive to cover the cost and take it out of my refund Instead they let it sit there until its was sent back. They are now asking me to cover the cost to send it back to them, this time checking the box that the receiver doesn't bear the import duties tax. Well that package still hasn't returned, it's now floating around and no one seems to know where it is.... I told them that I shouldn't have to pay again to ship it out and that they should cover the cost, and yes I'll cover the customs etc but that was resisted, citing their shipping policies once more. Their e-mails. say things like, 'To be honest, this mistake is not yours or mine,..... blaming the shipping label? It cost me £41.21 to send back! Then they send this - ''We can apply to help you reduce the transaction fee by half, but we cannot bear the shipping cost for you. Hope understands. :)'' that transaction fee is £17.79!! And then they say - " If you ship the parcel again, we can arrange the full refund for you, without the fee mentioned in the previous email."" It cost £41.21 to send back, plus the extra £120 customs fee, i've paid this once already, and can't pay this again... The tripod only cost £375 - so will two lots of shipping cost and the import duties it will be £202... Disappointed can't describe this experience, it's infuriating - yes there are mistakes I made regarding the import duties but the manner of which this has been handled, the poor communication and standards of e-mail, the refund policies and charges relating to this etc is just appalling. I have literally spent £20,000 on equipment recently and throughout that process have not had a single issue when it comes to refunds etc - this is the only one I have experienced when it comes dealing with over 15+ companies. I bought a tripod from Smallrig, wasn't suitable, returned no issues at all - the same should be with this situation but not the case. The returns policy should have given it away on how this company operates and it's mentality and my mistake was thinking this tripod was going to be the one. So be warned, if you are looking to purchase a product from them, make sure that you are 100% sure that you will be keeping it as the returns policy and poor customer service is not a pleasant experience to be had when your own personal money is involved. Also another warning - As soon as you sign up on their e-mail list you will get bombarded with 10's of e-mails a week - it's the worst I've experienced when it comes to any companies e-mail list - be warned, your junk will be full of them, discount this, special offer this..... No communication. I described a malfunctioning tripod video head a week ago but Sirui has not responded. You can also not get the price on their website if you live in Europe.

Well built with the proper height for 5ft 11 person
I received the tripod on time without any issues. I have tested it twice and so far have no complaints. It is a bit larger than I expected, but it's height is perfect for someone about 5 feet 10 inches tall. View More

I'd heard about Sirui's lenses and other gear online. Decided to buy my first pieces from them (anamorphic lens and a video monopod). Very happy with them!

Purchased two anamorphic lenses and they used Amazon to send my order. The first package came with no lens and instead a package of face masks. This second one, which was supposed to be a lens, arrived in a tamper-proof sealed box and as soon as I picked it up, I knew there was no lens in here, and I immediately called the police. Two officers were dispatched to my location, and they opened the still sealed tamper-proof tape sealed box to discover yet another package of face masks. I contacted several people at this company and only had the ability to call their US office in Jersey and was told by their employee Anthony that he was trying to help and just really upset with the way his company had been handling this. I heard back from another source offering to let me re-purchase the lens at the price I paid and would provide me a link to make sure it got sent directly by Sirui, but nobody followed through on that when I tried to accept that offering. It seemed that as soon as they saw the abundance of evidence and the fact that the police were actually the ones that opened up the second box, they started stonewalling me. Look at their reviews on Google. There are people that claim to have gotten rocks. Now I'm an independent filmmaker that has put out feature films and won over 130 film festival awards, and I'm giving you this advice as somebody involved in the industry: I would stay as far away from this company as possible. I'm literally preparing to file a civil action against them alleging breach of contract, deceptive and fraudulent business practices, negligence, and fraud. They knew they shut down a production; I provided them with all documentation, pictures, videos, and produced an invoice that clearly showed that all of these lenses were purchased from SIRUI USA and did absolutely nothing to stand behind their products or their sales, stonewalled us, and I made a very bad and costly mistake of putting my trust in what I thought was a product's good name. The Attorney General's office forced the return of my money, and I was going to win the credit card dispute anyway, but this company was a total failure and clearly demonstrated that they care nothing about the film community, their customers, or their products. One of the worst and most irresponsible companies I've ever dealt with in my 60 years of life. View More

Terrible. Don't buy for professional use.
I purchased 2 lenses from the anamorphic line. Totally different colors. The 24mm is fine, but the 75mm is so yellow I had to edit the footage a lot in post. Which for what I do is not ideal, it made me lose too much time and it makes my workflow suffer. I would not recommend them especially because of the aftersales service. Which is zero. I still get e-mail advertizing but they never answered my complaint e-mails. Terrible. Don't buy for professional use. View More
Disorganized and dishonest
Ordered a lens that they say they had in stock on the webstore that is not. Lying about promised shipping dates and responding to issues more than 24hrs after they're sent. Not what I expected at all. Very disappointing View More
Do not use - broken promises
Be very careful if you decide to buy something from the Sirui company! I bought one of their quick release ball heads as a present for my wife. 6 months into it – after hardly being used, it developed 2 problems. The first, was that the quick release securing screw kept coming loose and the second was that the ball head would intermittently creep down (and yes, the weight was well withing their prescribed limits). So I contacted Sirui, who replied fairly quickly to say that the solution was to simply tighten the loose screw! Obviously I had been doing this and I could not see how this would cure the ball head creep and I replied to them advising this. Nor could I video the problem as I had no idea when the ball head creep would start! This was Sirui’s reply “Dear customer, could you please send us your order ID? Then we could confirm your order details. And about your problem, we could exchange a new one for you.” Obviously I thanked them and a day or so later had this other email from them “We will create a return label for you, then please send back the ball head, after we receive the return package, we will send you a replacement asap.” So, I sent the ball head back – a couple of weeks later, I received a package from them – opened it – and inside was the ORIGINAL ball head I sent them! No note or anything to accompany it. Contacted Sirui – who said they had ‘repaired’ it, (all they had done was tighten the quick release locking screw which has since come loose, so not really repaired it at all) Been trying to contact Sirui asking them to keep their promise and they are ignoring my emails – so much for their customer service – my advice – do not use this company at all. Was long lingering to buy the Venus anamorphic E mount set, finally did, and was positively surprised, great lens kit, great blue flairs, exactly as you wish from anamorphic lenses, a really nice box and packaging, and best, it even is sharp on my A7r4, which some oem lenses doesn’t manage. I had one problem, a small damage occurred while shipping, but this was no problem, had a really nice agent via email, and also phone support was so nice, will buy again soon. View More
